Folonko takes its inspiration from Kartong, the peaceful and beautiful village in The Gambia 🇬🇲 where my roots lie. This place holds my earliest memories, my culture, my traditions, and the warmth of the community that shaped me. It represents simplicity, creativity, hard work, and the love for making things with our own hands — values that I carry with me everywhere I go.

Even though I now live and create in Italy 🇮🇹, far from my home country, this name keeps my origins close to my heart. It connects the vibrant spirit and creativity of my African roots with the new experiences, beauty, and inspiration I find here in Europe. It is a bridge between two wonderful worlds, bringing the best of both together in every piece I make.
